Terms

Website terms of use

These terms cover your use of the ShieldBook website. They're written to be read, so they're short.

Last updated October 11, 2026

1. About these terms

"ShieldBook", "we" and "us" mean the company that operates this website. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. These terms don't cover the ShieldBook software, which will be offered to businesses under a separate agreement.

2. What the website is for

The website explains what ShieldBook is and lets you request a demo. Requesting a demo doesn't create an account, a subscription or any obligation for you or for us.

3. Product information and statuses

We describe ShieldBook as accurately as we can, and we label every capability as built, in development or on the roadmap. Anything marked in development or on the roadmap is a plan, not a promise: it may change, arrive later than described, or not be built at all. Product views on the website are recreations of ShieldBook screens using invented demo data, and the software changes over time. Nothing on the website is an offer to sell, and no price or availability is promised here.

4. Using the website

Please use the website lawfully and in a way that doesn't harm it or other people. In particular, don't:

5. Content and names

The website's text, design and product views belong to ShieldBook or to the people who license them to us. You're welcome to read, link to and share pages. The ShieldBook name and logo identify our software; please don't use them in a way that suggests a connection with us that doesn't exist. The website uses the Geist typefaces under the SIL Open Font License.

6. Links to other websites

Where the website links elsewhere, those websites are run by others. We aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

7. Disclaimer

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the website, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ShieldBook won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, and our total liability for any claim about the website is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and the updated terms apply from then on.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms are welcome through the demo request form, or by replying to any email from us.
